The Lincoln County Jail Docket for Wednesday was as follows:

 

• Christi L. Harrod, 10-28-77, of 1318 Waldron Apt. #915, Corpus Christ, Texas — arrested for indictment by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

• Edward Mastrella, 05-22-72, of 43136 South Holly St., Hammond, Louisiana — arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia by Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.

• Ronald C. Menke, 07-24-67, of 2350 Big Creek Road, Bogue Chitto — arrested for two counts of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and contributing to the neglect or delinquency of a minor by MBN.

• Jason Moak, 08-05-74, of 1523 Clyde Trail, Brookhaven — arrested for serving time by Mississippi Department of Corrections.

• George W. Smith, 06-29-88, of 3085 Highway 570, Summit — arrested for grand larceny by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

Local weather stats

The Wastewater Treatment Facility in Brookhaven reported a high of 94 degrees for Thursday and a low of 49. The temperature at 7:30 a.m. Friday was 54 degrees. There was 0.0 inches of precipitation.

 

River stages

On Friday the Mississippi River stages at Vicksburg, Natchez, and the Pearl River were unavailable for report.

 

Fire reports

The Brookhaven Fire Department reported a gas leak Thursday on North 7th Street. Firefighters responded at approximately 10:00 a.m. and stood by until around 11:00 a.m. when the gas company arrived.

 

Copiah County Reports 

The Wesson Police Department reports no activity for Thursday.

The Copiah County Sheriff’s Department reports no activity for Thursday.

The Wesson Volunteer Fire Department reported several calls for Thursday, the first of which was a grass fire on I-55. Firefighters arrived on the scene around 2:30 p.m. and cleared the area at approximately 3:05 p.m. The Wesson Volunteer Fire Department responded to two medical calls around 5:10 and 5:11 p.m. The first call was on 3rd Street and the other call came from Co-Lin. Both were cleared by approximately 5:45 p.m. Firefighters also responded to a car accident with injuries on I-55 northbound at 7:35 p.m. They cleared the scene by 9:15 p.m.

Ambulance Report

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service had 19 calls Friday; two were transfers, with two to Jackson. There were 17 emergency calls, with 13 medical, seven in the city and six in the county. There were two traumas one in the city and county. There was one cardiac in the county.
