Lawrence County (9-1, 4-0),  under the direction of second-year head coach Jaymie Palmer, destroyed the Richland Rangers 49-0 Friday to win the Region 6-4 crown in Richland.

This week, the Cougars will put their eight-game winning streak on the line as they look to finish their division run undefeated against the Florence Eagles in Monticello.
