Cameron Whitworth Jenkins of Gulfport and Lukista Walker of Mobile, Alabama announce their upcoming marriage on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015.

The groom is the son of the Roy Lee Jenkins Sr. and Claraetta Whitworth Jenkins. He is the grandson of the late Burell Whitworth Sr., the late Annette Martin Whitworth, Ruby Hill Jenkins and the late Cleophus Jenkins Sr.

The bride is the daughter of Rhonda Brister Varnado and Terry Varnado. She is the granddaughter of Louella Brister and Mattie Walker.

The groom is a 2008 graduate of Brookhaven High School and a 2012 valedictorian graduate of Alcorn State University, where he received a degree in music education. He also received his master’s degreein music education from the University of Mississippi in 2014. He is an ordained minister, and he is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He is currently employed with the Gulfport School District as a band director for Bayou View Middle School.

The bride is a graduate of Salem High School and a 2014 graduate of Alcorn State University, where she received a degree in social work. She is currently employed at Alta Pointe Health Systems in Mobile as a licensed social worker.

The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at East Fernwood Missionary Baptist Church in McComb.
