The Wastewater Treatment Facility in Brookhaven reported a high of 75 degrees for Monday and a low of 55. The temperature at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday was 72 degrees. There was 0.0 inches of precipitation.

 

River stages

On Monday the Mississippi River stage at Vicksburg, where the flood stage is 43 feet, was 12.6, down 0.2 feet in the past 24 hours. In Natchez, where the flood stage is 48 feet, was 20.8, down 0.1 feet in the past 24 hours. The Pearl River stage at Jackson, where the flood stage is 12 feet, was 11.2, down 0.8 feet in the past 24 hours.

 

Fire reports

The Brookhaven Fire Department reported on Saturday to a car fire on Highway 84. Firefighters responded at approximately 9:30 p.m. and returned to the station at 10:15 p.m. On Sunday the Brookhaven fire department was called to IHOP for the smell of smoke. Firefighters responded at 8:57 a.m. and returned to the station at 9:16 a.m. On Monday firefighters responded to an alarm at Home Depot at 5:15 p.m. and returned to the station at 5:58 p.m. Firefighters also responded to a fire alarm on at 836 Howard Road. Firefighters left at 2:13 a.m. and returned at 2:25 a.m.

 

Highway Patrol Reports

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M reported on Friday, to a one-vehicle accident on Highway 583 South of 84 at 5:28 p.m. with no injuries sustained. For Saturday the Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle car accident at 6:25 p.m. on I-55 Southbound at mile marker 37. No injuries were reported. On Sunday at 2:15 a.m. Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident with injuries on Highway 84 West of New Prospect Church. Highway Patrol reported to another one-vehicle accident with injuries, Sunday at 12:53 p.m. The accident occurred on Highway 583 near Holmesville Road. Highway Patrol also responded to a one-vehicle car accident Sunday at 4 p.m. The accident occurred on Highway 583 one mile south of 84 with no injuries reported.

 

King’s Daughters Ambulance Report

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service had 19 calls Monday; five were transfers, with one to the city, one to Jackson and three to Pike County. There were 14 emergency calls, with eight medical, four in the city and four in the county. There were six motor vehicle accidents all in the city.
