Mississippi campaign chairmen/directors for many of the Republican presidential campaigns will be in Brookhaven tonight for a free event at Ole Towne Church during which they will talk about the candidates’ platforms and answer questions.

The speakers will begin at 5:30 p.m. and a reception with light hors d’oeuvers will follow. The event will also serve as a membership drive for the Lincoln County Republican Women’s Club. The event, held at Ole Towne Church at 220 South Jackson St., is to end at 8 p.m.

The campaign representatives are speaking at a pivotal time as the Mississippi presidential preference primary election is to be held Tuesday, March 8. The results of the election will determine how Mississippi delegates cast their votes at the Republican National Convention in July.
