Funeral services for John E. Farmer are Monday, April 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 until 8 p.m., Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Riverwood.

Mr. Farmer, 70, of Brookhaven, died April 21, 2016 at his residence. He was born Dec. 24, 1945. He worked at Georgia Pacific as a paper tester and was a member of New Sight Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Virgil H. Farmer and Marie McCaffery Farmer; and one grandson, Kyle Farmer.

Survivors are his wife, Doris Farmer; sons, Alex Farmer and wife, Sheila, and Bobby Martin; daughters, Terry Ann Meeks, Shellie Farmer Jordan and husband, Randy; brother, Ronnie Farmer; seven grandchildren, Justin Farmer, Travis Meeks, Ty Meeks, Trinity Martin, Jessica Farmer and Sawyer Jordan; and four great-grandchildren.
