Two-car accident leaves three injured

A two-car accident Thursday morning on Loyd Star Lane left three people with injuries. 

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department responded to an accident involving two vehicles at approximately 8 a.m. on Loyd Star Lane.

Copiah Lincoln Community College student Kenbriana Foster, 19, was driving down Loyd Star Lane in a gray 2012 Chevrolet Sonic when she collided head on with a 2003 Nissan Altima. Two female Loyd Star students were traveling in the Nissan.

The Jaws of Life was needed for both drivers of the vehicles. Two ambulances responded to the scene and transported Foster and the two minors to King’s Daughters Medical Center. Both drivers were then transported by helicopter to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
