Emma Leigh Stamps and Lance Michael Dale were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, in Wesson.

The couple’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kenneth Stamps, of Wesson, and Mr. and Mrs. James Randall Dale Sr., of Dumas, Arkansas. The wedding ceremony was held at Wesson Baptist Church and officiated by Bro. Tommy Purvis with music by Sherry Purvis and Melinda Tyrone. Ken Stamps, the bride’s father, gave her in marriage.

The bride wore an Allure Bridals gown, accented with a bodice of lace, highlighting a sweetheart neckline and finishing with a trumpet skirt flowing with a wealth of organza ruffles. The bride’s veil featured a deep hem lace matching that on her bridal gown. The bride’s great-great-grandmother Emma Dungan Ratcliff’s  handkerchief was tucked into her bouquet.

Attending the bride were her maid of honor, Emily Lauren Jordan of Brookhaven; her bridesmaids, Cassie Elizabeth Dale of Dumas, Arkansas, Randi Way Stamps of Florence, Suzie Sorey Bourn of Indianola, Ashley Palmer of Starkville and Callie Ann Cornelison of Blytheville, Arkansas; and junior bridesmaid Kendall Grace Stamps of Florence. They wore one shoulder maroon gowns featuring a natural waist with front pleats and slit designed by Bari Jay.

James Randall Dale Sr., of Dumas, served as best man. Groomsmen were James Randall Dale Jr., of Haskell, Arkansas, Norman Kenneth Stamps Jr., of Florence, Kaden Noah Stamps, of Wesson, Jeremy Bradley Armstrong of Columbus, and Ashton Keith Smith of Bogue Chitto. The ring bearer was Jackson Grady Dale, and the flower girl was Katie Gail Stamps.

Following the ceremony the wedding party traveled to the Old Wesson School for the reception where throughout the evening they, along with wedding guests, enjoyed music by DJ Stanley Martin. Among the decorations were two antique trunks draped with a Jessica McLintock tea length lace wedding gown worn by Emma’s mom as well as her grandmother Mary Alice Stamps. Departing the reception the couple was sent off by a parade of heart shaped sparklers. They honeymooned in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
