A vehicle fire on Hwy. 84 in Franklin County shut down the westbound lanes of the highway for a couple hours Wednesday morning.

Mississippi Highway Patrol reported that the vehicle fire six miles west of Meadville was cleared at about 10:45. Traffic was diverted onto a turning lane during the closure.

It is unknown if anyone was injured.
