Services for Myrtle Ruth Smith of Monticello are 4 p.m., Monday,May 8, at New Zion Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation today is until 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith, 88, died May 7, 2000, of heart failure at BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. She was born in Lawrence County on May1, 1912, to Norris Wilson and Ruth William Wilson.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Zion BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Henry LeeSmith; her daughter, Ruth Williamson; and three grandchildren and agreat-grandchild.

Survivors are her son, Shelton Smith of Monticello; herdaughter, Jo Beth Smith of Monticello; her sister, Venion Davis ofMonticello; and 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
