State Bank rode a 6-run, first inning to a 10-5 Monday night winover Union Planters Bank in Dixie Boys Baseball League action. Inthe other league game last night, Randy’s Sports beat Farm Bureau4-2 at Exchange Club Park.
State Bank 10, Union Planters 5
Winning pitcher Brooks Hall struck out 2 batters andwalked 1. Cody Dunaway fanned 8 and walked 7 in a losingcause.
At the plate, Hall hit 2 home runs for State. JoshPatrick and Will Hodges doubled. Josh Vance singled twice. W.T.King also hit safely. State added a pair of insurance runs in thefourth and fifth innings.
A home run by J.L. Dickey led Union Planters. John WayneHavard and Vance Case singled.
Randy’s 4, Farm Bureau 2
Randy’s got a 4-strikeout, 3-walk performance fromwinning pitcher Lance Waldrop. Lee Newell fanned 4 and walked 2 inthe losing effort.
Offensively, Randy’s got singles from Matt Walker,Jeffrey Dow and Scott Smith as they took a 3-1, third-inninglead.
