Tyler Gatlin ripped a grand slam home run to power UnionPlanters to a 14-2 win over Bane Drugs in Dixie Youth BaseballMajor American League action.

On the mound, Patrick Holcomb struck out 13 batters and walkedtwo for the win. Brett Hart fanned four and walked three in theloss.

Adding support to the Union Planter’s win with a single apiecewere Chase Covington, Holcomb and Ryan Adams.

The druggists got two singles from Hart. Trevor Portrey, DanielWatson and Allen Case singled.

Winning pitcher Mason Warren struck out six batters and walkedsix. At the plate, Warren homered and doubled. Collecting a tripleand a single was Joey Ratcliff. Warren collected a double and asingle. Hitting safely were Nick Smith and Dustin Brewer.

Positive Pest Control was led by Russell Elliott, Patrick Ayersand Brandon Malone with a single each. Zachary Watson collectedseven strikeouts and four walks in the loss.
