Mrs. Castilaw, 43, died June 27, 2000, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Brookhaven on May 13, 1957, toJewel D. McManus and Betty Posey McManus.

She was a former cashier and was disabled. She was a member ofLittle Bahala Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Ronnie Castilaw of Wesson; herparents, Jewel D. and Betty McManus of Brookhaven; her sister,Jeanna McManus Hartzog of Silver Creek; and five nieces andnephews.

Charles Albert Ward

Services for Charles Albert Ward of Brookhaven are 10 a.m.,Thursday, June 29, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inHeucks Retreat Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, June 28, from 6-9 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home.

Mr. Ward, 70, died June 27, 2000, at St. Dominic’s Hospital. Hewas born in Lincoln County on Sept. 4, 1929, to Charlie Thomas Wardand Mary Etta Bullock Ward.

He was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of HeucksRetreat Baptist Church. He was a member of Woodmen of theWorld.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother, WillieThomas Ward.

Survivors are his wife, Jane P. Durham Ward of Brookhaven; hisson, John Charles Ward of Brookhaven; his daughters, Bobbie JaneMartin of Florence, Janet Marie Ward Embry of Brighton, Tenn., andSandra Kay Malacava of Kyle, Texas; his sisters, Annie Mae Winborneand Sara Elizabeth Hodges, both of Brookhaven; and eightgrandchildren.
