Greetings, readers. God’s blessings keep on flowing for each ofus. He has allowed us to see the end of the sixth month of this newmillennium and the beginning of the seventh month. God through Hisprecious Son Jesus Christ is worthy to be praised.
Special ‘Happy Birthday’ wishes to Doretha Beard Holman and EllaMae Benjamin, who celebrated on July 1, and to all who willcelebrate in July. May God bless each of you to have many more.
Sincere and heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Hunter/Goodwinfamilies in the loss of their loved one. May God’s love, peace andHis understanding be with each of you.
Special prayers to all sick and shut-ins in the hospital,nursing homes, private homes or wherever you may be. Very specialget-well wish to Martha Smith, who has been in the hospital. MayGod’s peace, His love and His compassion be with each of you.
Special get-well wishes to Tom Shannon, who has been in King’sDaughters Medical Center several times recently. We pray that each of you had a wonderful and a blessed Fourth ofJuly. If you are in Brookhaven visiting loved ones, we hope thatyour stay will be an enjoyable and blessed one.
Day two of the New Hope M.B. Church trip was magical. The Rev.and Mrs. Jerry Brown and the group boarded the two chartered busesand headed to the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Fla., at Disney World.At Magic Kingdom, there were many exciting attractions andadventures.
Next, they went on to Adventureland to view the attractions ofSwiss Family Treehouse, The Enchanted Tiki Room, and theremote-controlled shrunken Ned’s Junior Jungle boats. Main Streetoffered many shops, galleries, the cinema and the ExpositionHall.
From there, they visited Fantasyland and later Tomorrowland.Many visited Mickey’s Toontown Fair where Mickey, Minnie andfriends greeted them and signed autographs.
Day three was spent at Epcot where they visited the ImaginationInstitute, “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids”, and the Millenium Villagewhere you can stroll through a cultural journey of 11countries.
From the moment you step through the gates, you are immersed ina dazzling celebration. Each of the days and nights are filled withwondrous experiences and entertainment that salutes the humanspirit and ignites the imagination.
Other features are the life-size dinosaurs, video games, Tunnelof Bugs and The Living Seas.
Their imagination runs wild as they travel through The Wondersof Life, attractions with Body Wars, the Cranium Command and TheMaking of Me adventures.
The sensational finale to every evening at Epcot isIllumiNations 2000:Reflections of Earth. This extravaganza featuresthousands of fireworks, full color lasers, lights, water fountains,fire and music. Epcot is a place of joy, hope and friendship.
