William Elmer ‘Bill’ Chunn
Services for William Elmer “Bill” Chunn of Thomastown were 2p.m., Saturday, July 22, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel in Kosciuskowith burial in Shiloh Cemetery.
Mr. Chunn, 60, died Thursday, July 20, 2000, of leukemia at StDominic’s Hospital in Jackson. He was a lifelong resident ofThomastown.
He was a forestry technician for International Paper Co. He wasa member of Thomastown Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mary H. Chunn; daughters, RitaTalkington of Camden and Kim Walker of Brookhaven; sisters, OpalDarr of River Falls, Wis., and Nina Holbrook of Ridgeland; and onegrandson.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation.
Leonard Ray Culpepper
Services for Leonard Ray Culpepper of Florence are 11 a.m.Monday, July 24, at Billy M. King Colonial Chapel in Collins withburial in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, July 23, from 2:30-9 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mr. Culpepper, 66, died Friday, July 21, 2000, of heart failureat River Oaks Hospital. He was born to the late John and LolaCulpepper.
He was retired.
Survivors are his wife, Nadine Culpepper of Florence; son, DavidCulpepper of Brookhaven; step-sons, Jimmie Dean McGowan, DewayneMcGowan and Jacky McGowan, all of Florence, and David McGowan ofPearl; daughters, Marcy Boyd and Candy Buffington, both ofFlorence; brother, Hershell Culpepper of Moselle; sisters, LolaJackson of Moselle and Iva Lee of Petal; and sevengrandchildren.
Minnie F. Leggett
Services for Minnie F. Leggett of McComb are 11:30 a.m. Monday,July 24, at Hartman Funeral Home with burial in Calvary BaptistChurch Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.
Visitation is Sunday, July 23, from 4-9 p.m. and Monday, July24, from 8-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Leggett, 77, died Friday, July 21, 2000, at SouthwestRegional Medical Center in McComb. She was born in Lawrence Countyon Nov. 21, 1922, to Charles A. and Melba Smith Gibson.
She was a retired cosmotoligest and homemaker. She was a memberof Calvary Baptist Church. She was a member of American LegionAuxiliary Post No. 91 in Jackson.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James C.Leggett Sr.; a son, James C. Leggett Jr.; and brothers, Charlie,Luther, Vernon and Lester Paul Gibson.
Survivors are her son, Charles Leggett; daughter, PatriciaKillingsworth; son-in-law, Bill Killingsworth, all of McComb;daughter-in-law, Shirley Leggett of Port Vincent, La.; foster sonand wife, Fred and Elaine Boyd of McComb; sister, Lois Long ofGeorgetown; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Leslie Darrell Oliver
Services for Leslie Darrell Oliver of Monticello were 11 a.m.Saturday, July 22, at Bethel Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Mr. Oliver, 37, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, in LawrenceCounty. He was born in Lawrence County on June 30, 1963, to KennethF. and Ruby Opal Parkman Oliver of Monticello.
He was self-employed. He was a member of Bethel BaptistChurch.
Survivors are his parents; wife, Kimberly Oliver; daughter,Caitlin Oliver; step-son, Alston Bozeman; step-daughters, AudrianaBozeman and Alex Bozeman; brother, David Oliver, all of Monticello;and sister, Debbie Letchworth of Silver Creek.
