Kathleen June Parsons Bearden

Graveside services for Kathleen June Parsons Bearden of Houston,Texas, were 10 a.m., Thursday, July 27, at Rose Hill Cemetery.Harrigill Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bearden, 79, died July 23, 2000, of heart failure atHermann Hospital in Houston. She was born in Brookhaven on July 6,1921, to James R. Parsons and Effie Dean Cagle Parsons.

She was retired as an accountant for Exxon Corporation with 33and a half years service. She was a member of First Baptist Churchin Houston.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

She is survived by five cousins.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Missions inHouston or a charity of choice.

Irene Parsons Brown

Services for Irene Parsons Brown of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m.,Friday, July 28, at Bethel Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Bro. Doug Benedict and Bro. Terry Edwards will conductthe services. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is Thursday, July 27, from 5-9 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home.

Mrs. Brown, 80, died July 26, 2000, of congestive heart failureat her residence. She was born in Amite County on May 28, 1920, toFrank Carey Parsons and Mattie Mae Moak Parsons.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethel BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her brother,Russell Parsons.

Survivors are her husband of 59 years, Hilton Brown Sr. of BogueChitto; her son, Hilton Brown Jr. of Bogue Chitto; her daughters,Ann Callender of Clinton, Brenda Gail Case and Shirley Smith, bothof Caseyville, and Sharon B. Hall and Frankie Jane Leggett, both ofBogue Chitto; her sister, Jo Sasser of Bogue Chitto; and 15grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces andnephews.

Patience L. Marrow

Memorial services for Patience L. Marrow of Sontag will be heldat a future date in Harvester, Mo. Tyler Funeral Home is in chargeof local arrangements.

Mrs. Marrow, 77, died July 25, 2000, of cardiopulmonary arrestat Countrybrook Living Center. She was born in Missouri on Nov. 3,1922, to Edith Dixon and Marion Stuckey.

She was a retired nurses’ aide for Colonial Nursing Home in St.Charles, Mo.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JohnEarnest Junior Marrow; her sister, Cora Potter; and one grandchild,Michael.

Survivors are her son, John Marrow of Old Monroe, Mo.; herdaughters, Elizabeth Bolster of Sontag and Tina Marburger ofLeslie, Mo.; and a host of grandchildren and nieces andnephews.

Nellie Starnes Richardson

Nellie Starnes Richardson died July 25, 2000, at her residencein Brookhaven.

Mrs. Richardson, 94, was born in Wesson on Dec. 21, 1905, toJohn Starnes and Essie Vardaman Starnes. She was a longtimeresident of Fairhope, Ala.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Gayton L.Richardson.

Survivors are her sister, Ann Green of Hazlehurst; and severalcousins, nieces and nephews.
