Services for Victor P. Boyd of Jayess are 11 a.m., Saturday,July 29, at McComb Gospel Assembly Church with burial in EnonCemetery in Walthall County.

Visitation is Friday, July 28, after 5 p.m. at the church.Catchings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Boyd, 93, died July 26, 2000, of heart failure at SMRMC.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a member ofMcComb Gospel Assembly Church. He was a member of Enon MasonicLodge No. 383.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Johnnie Boyd.

Survivors are his sons, Vonque Boyd and Rocky Boyd, both ofMcComb, and Jimmy Boyd of Columbia; his daughters, Charlene Gibsonof Biloxi, Veta Bates of Tylertown, Mary Phillips and Alma Boyd,both of Jayess, Helen Alexander of Summit, Voncille Williams ofMcComb, and Gracie Herring and Annie Reid, both of Beeville, Texas;his brother, J. D. Boyd Jr. of Jayess; his sister, Virgie Bristerof Monticello; and 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, fivestepgrandchildren, and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Services for Lena Jackson of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Sunday, July30, at St. Mark M. B. Church with burial in Carver HeightsCemetery.

Visitation is Saturday, July 29, from noon until 7 p.m. withfamily hour from 7-8 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mrs. Jackson, 89, died July 25, 2000, at her residence. She wasborn in Lawrence County on June 5, 1911, to Isom Cameron and ClaraCameron.

She was retired. She was a member of St. Mark M. B. Church,where she was a member of Women’s Missions.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sons, ElijahJackson and Denon Jackson; and her daughters, Irma Tyler, WillieMae Keller, and Alean Jackson.

Survivors are her sons, Jimmie Williams of Chicago and A. C.Williams of Glendale, Calif.; her daughters, Helen Deshields Eppsand Irene Walker, both of Brookhaven, Katie M. Young of Marrero,La., and Carrie Thomas, Pinkie Jackson, and Lean Jackson, all ofHouston, Texas; her brothers, Isom Cameron of Jackson, JuliusCameron of Brookhaven, W. C. Cameron of Oakland, Calif., and HarveyCameron, Roy Cameron, and Troy Cameron, all of Chicago; and manygrandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services for Durward “Mack” McMillan Sr. of Pearl were Thursday,July 27, at Baldwin-Lee Chapel with burial in Floral Hills MemoryGardens.

Mr. McMillan, 76, died July 26, 2000, of heart failure at RankinMedical Center.

Among the survivors is a grandchild, Ashley McMillan ofBrookhaven.
