WESSON – The Enterprise Lady Yellow Jackets held off the WessonLady Cobras for a 6-4 victory Tuesday night in slowpitch softballaction. Nikki Leggett was the winning pitcher and Brittany King wasthe loser.

Wesson’s 1-0 lead in the first inning was gone by the top of thefourth when Enterprise scored three runs for a 3-1 edge. The LadyJackets tacked on three more runs in the top of the fifth for a 6-1advantage.

Valorie Brooks paced Wesson with a 2 RBI home run. JessicaPhillips singled three times. Heather Morgan tripled and singled.Hitting safely were Kail Baldwin, Maggie Morgan and AndreaWatson.

Powering Enterprise with a pair of singles were Leggett andStacy Sandifer. Tripling was Vivian Lang. Ashley Tate doubled.Megan Criswell, Lacey Palomarez, Nicole Floyd, Nicole Beard andAshley Palomarez singled.

Enterprise outhit Wesson 12-9. Both teams committed twoerrors.

Junior Varsity Action

Anna Johnson drilled a 3 RBI home run for Wesson in the7-5 junior varsity game victory. Ashlea Brooks ripped a 2 RBIsingle. Megan Allen and Lauren Hutson singled for an RBIapiece.
