Beatrice Langrick James

Services for Beatrice Langrick James of Wesson are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Zion Hill Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Stringer Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is today from 1-2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. James, 87, died Aug. 14, 2000, of heart failure at HavenHall Nursing Home. She was born in Wesson on Jan. 14, 1913, toHyram Samuel Langrick and Rosie Floie Brent Langrick.

She was a retired nurses’ aid. She was a member of the Baptistfaith. She was a member of the Wesson Eastern Star.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Author Ellis James; herdaughter, Floie Nell Browne; her sons, Robert Ellis James and BoyceJames; her sisters, Gladys Lloyde and Hazel Foster; and herbrother, Otto Langrick.

Survivors are her daughters, Linda James Stegall of Wesson andAnn James Johnson of Brookhaven; and 11 grandchildren and 12great-grandchildren.

Roy M. Matlock

Graveside services for Roy M. Matlock of Bogue Chitto were 10:30a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Biloxi National Cemetery.

Mr. Matlock, 75, died Aug. 11, 2000, in Jackson. He was born inCamden.

He was retired from the Mississippi State Forestry Commission.He had served in the Merchant Marines and the U. S. Air Force. Hewas a member of the Presbyterian faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Jack Matlock and MabelHamilton Matlock; and his brothers, Eugene Matlock, James Matlock,and Raymond Matlock.

Survivors are his brother, Marion Matlock of Memphis; and threenieces.
