Indians scalp Wolves

FULTON – The Itawamba Indians improved their season record to1-1 after posting a 24-0 win over the Copiah-Lincoln CommunityCollege Wolves Thursday night.

Course Young caught a 4-yard pass for a touchdown and ran 4yards for his second of the night for Itawamba. Enrique Reese hitYoung for the first score then hit Todd Devoe for a 6-yarder. CaseAbill kicked a 47-yard field goal for the Indians.

“It was long trip,” said Co-Lin head football coach Phil Broome.”We just didn’t do well. We turned the ballover a couple of times.That hurts you. It limits you to what you can do.

” Defense played well,” added Broome. We gave up a couple of bigplays. We just didn’t play like we are capable of playing. Its timefor the young guys to grow up. Then we’ll start playing like weneed to play.”

Co-Lin (0-2) returns to Stone Stadium Thursday night to hostEast Mississippi. East Miss. fell to Southwest Mississippi 33-14last night. Kick off begins at 7 p.m.
