Murray K. Seab
Services for Murray K. Seab of Natchez are 1 p.m., Saturday,Sept. 9, at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with burial in RoxieCemetery.
Visitation is Friday, Sept. 8, from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday fromnoon until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Seab, 72, died Sept. 6, 2000, at Natchez Regional MedicalCenter. He was born in Detroit, Mich., on Dec. 1, 1927, to Clydeand Sue Blanche O’Conner Seab.
He was a member of the Franklin County Forestry Association andwas the president of Adams County Tax Payers Association. Heattended Natchez First Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Fredie Terral Seab of Natchez; hisdaughters, Sue Seab of Baton Rouge and Kay Seab Davey of Luling,La.; his sister, Pat Moore of West Monroe, La.; his brother, LarrySeab of Jackson; three grandchildren, and a number of nieces,nephews and cousins.
Carey Delone Smith
Services for Carey Delone Smith of Bessemer, Ala., are 3 p.m.,Sunday, Sept. 10, at Hartman Funeral Home in McComb with burial inWoodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday, Sept. 9, from 5-9 p.m. and Sunday from11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith, 64, died Sept. 7, 2000, at Princeton Hospital inBirmingham. He was born in Ruth on April 7, 1936, to Jake IsaihSmith and Viola Morgan Smith.
He was a heavy equipment operator with Rurel Brown Excavating.He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist faith. He was an AirForce veteran, a Mason, and a member of Operating Engineers Local#402.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, Leroy”Bill” Smith; and his sister, Tera Cochran.
Survivors are his wife, Gayla Burkey Smith of Bessemer; hissons, Carey Dale Smith and Kevin L. Smith, both of Summit, andCraig S. Smith of McComb; his brothers, J. W. Smith of Monroe, La.,Clifford Smith of Texas, Claude Smith of Bogue Chitto, and FrankSmith of Brookhaven; his sisters, Lucille Williamson and Lois Boyd,both of Baton Rouge, Inez Russell of Bogalusa, La., Helen Boyd ofPrairieville, La., and Frances Roberts of Bogue Chitto; and sixgrandchildren.

Services for Dora Elizabeth Bessonette West of Brookhaven are 2p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday, Sept. 8, from 5-8:30 p.m. and Saturdayfrom 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home.
Mrs. West, 81, died Sept. 7, 2000, of cancer at Whispering Pinesin Madison. She was born in Lincoln County on June 9, 1919, to IkeBessonette and Deda McGuffie Bessonette.
She was a retired pattern maker for Stahl-Urban. She was amember of Central Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, C H West;and her brothers, Arnold, Dudley, and T. J. Bessonette.
Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles E. andLinda West of Brookhaven and Bobby A. and Barbara West of Madison;her daughter and son-in-law, Lois Maxine West Welch and Danny Welchof Magee; her sisters, Lela B. Rogers of Brookhaven and JuanitaChrietzberg of West Monroe, La.; and eight grandchildren and eightgreat-grandchildren.
