Services for Louise Massengill of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Thursday, Sept. 21, at Faith Presbyterian Church with burial inRose Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 4-6:30 p.m. atBrookhaven Funeral Home.

Mrs. Massengill, 87, died Sept. 18, 2000, at her residence. Shewas born in Portland, Ark., on July 27, 1913, to Benton O. Cummingsand Myrtle McArthur Cummings. She moved to Columbia, La., as ateenager. She graduated from high school in 1931 and attendedWhitworth College from 1931-33. She graduated from Louisiana StateUniversity in 1935.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith PresbyterianChurch. She sang and performed in high school and college and onradio. She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a longtimemember and past president of the Climbers Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Dr. FrankMassengill; and her brothers, Russell and Oren Cummings.

Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Frank C. andElizabeth Massengill of Pensacola, Fla.; her daughter andson-in-law, Melissa M. and Don Jones of Tuckers Town, Bermuda; hergrandchildren and their spouses, Kelly J. and Kurt Authenreith ofHouston, Dru and Nicole Jones of Oxford, Ben and Mariam Massengillof Jackson, Emily Massengill of Jackson, Lance Gill of Pensacola,Fla., and Dax and Stephanie Gill of Atlanta, Ga.

Services for Jean K. Stephens of Winona were 11 a.m., Wednesday,Sept. 20, at Oliver Funeral Home with burial in Winona Garden ofMemory Cemetery.

Mrs. Stephens, 74, died Sept. 17, 2000, at Tyler Holmes MemorialHospital.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church,where she was a member of the Triple L. Club. She was a member ofthe Winona Lions Club.

Survivors are her daughters, Susan P. Martindale of Monticelloand Brenda S. Rawson and Connie S. Legg, both of Winona; her sons,Dennis “Butch” Palmertree of Boise, Idaho, and Guy Keith Palmertreeof Jackson; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services for Stewart W. “Skip” Williams of Brookhaven are 11a.m., Thursday, Sept. 21, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Wellman Cemetery in Lincoln County.

Visitation is Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 4-10 p.m., at HarrigillFuneral Home.

Mr. Williams, 75, died Sept. 18, 2000, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Bad Axe, Mich., on March 10, 1925,to John S. Williams and Margaret Wills Williams.

He was a retired manager for Lincoln Ready Mix. He was a memberof the Baptist faith. He was a Navy veteran of WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, MervynNations Williams.

Survivors are his sons, Dale Williams and Danny Williams, bothof Brookhaven; his daughters, Donna Porter and Dena Leonard, bothof Brookhaven, and Debbie Patterson of Wilson, N.C.; a specialfriend, Heather; and 13 grandchildren and eightgreat-grandchildren.
