Third baseman Jennifer Richardson tripled twice and singled inleading the West Lincoln Lady Bears to a 12-2 Monday trouncing ofthe Dexter girls in slowpitch softball action. The Lady Bearscollected 18 hits in the 5-inning, Division 7-1A home contest.

West Lincoln improved its record to 9-8 overall and 5-2 in thedivision. The Lady Bears visit Bogue Chitto Thursday night for adoubleheader, starting with a junior varsity game at 6.

“We hit the ball real well,” said West Lincoln coach AndrewRedd. “We’ve been doing a good job at the plate.”

Shortstop Dana King collected 2 triples and a single in thevictory. Second baseman Lauren Smith tripled and singled. ChasityAvants had 3 singles. Hanna Roberts and Holli Bass singled twice.Britnee Smith tripled.

Britney Phillips, Christy Lindigrin and Lindsay Franklin alsohit safely. Roberts was the winning pitcher.

Dexter was led by Becky Melton who homered.

In the JV game, Dexter edged West Lincoln 7-5. A doubleand a single by Hannah Payne led West Lincoln at the plate. LaceyCain singled twice and Hope Lofton doubled.
