Services for Irene Bailey Redd, of Bogue Chitto, are 3 p.m.Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, at New Zion Union Missionary Baptist Churchwith burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, from noon-7 p.m., withfamily hour from 6-7 p.m., at the church. Williams Mortuary is incharge of arrangements.

Mrs. Redd, 77, died Friday, Sept. 22, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Bogue Chitto on May 3, 1923, to thelate Tom and Georgia Bailey.

She was retired. She was a member of New Zion Union MissionaryBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband EmaleRedd Sr.

Survivors are sons Emale Redd Jr, Vincent Redd and LawrenceRedd, all of Brookhaven; Vernice Redd and Cleveland Redd, both ofBogue Chitto; the Rev. Mitchell Redd, of Miami and Norman Redd, ofHouston, Texas; daughters Bessie Scott, of Houston, Texas; ArittierTaylor, of New Orleans, and Rebecca Hill, of Brookhaven; sistersElivira Marcano, of Seattle; Rose Henderson, of St. Paul, Minn.;Itmia Walls, of Jackson; Grace Lyons and Marie Braxton, both ofBogue Chitto; brother Dr. Tom Bailey Jr., of Bogalusa, La.; 36grandchildren and 26 great-granchildren.
