Services for Jessie Ainsworth of Brookhaven were 11 a.m.,Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inEasthaven Cemetery.
Mr. Ainsworth, 66, died Oct. 8, 2000, of heart failure at King’sDaughters Medical Center. He was born in Lawrence County on May 18,1934, to Owen Ainsworth and Ella Mae King Ainsworth.
He was retired from Penrod Drilling Company. He attended FirstAssembly of God Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers,Wilber Gene, Harvey, Ellis, and Bill.
Survivors are his wife, Josie Ainsworth of Brookhaven; his sonand daughter-in-law, Jimmy Dale and Debbie Ainsworth of Loyd Star;his brothers, Billy Joe Ainsworth of Tennessee and Clyde Ainsworthof Mississippi; his sister, Pauline Thames of Natchez; and hisgrandson, Conley Ainsworth of Loyd Star.
Mrs. Walter Ree Daniel
Services for Mrs. Walter Ree Daniel of Brookhaven are 1 p.m.,Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Beulah Chapel M.B. Church with burial inCarver Heights Cemetery.
Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Daniel, 70, died Oct. 3, 2000, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on Jan. 25, 1930, to Felix andBernice Carter.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Beulah Chapel M.B.Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, R.D.Daniel; her brother, Robert Carter; and her sisters, Kattie Smithand Julia McKenzie.
Survivors are her sons, James Levi and Felix Daniel ofBrookhaven, Walter Daniel of Clarksdale, Robert Daniel of Magnoliaand Fred Daniel of Brookhaven; her daughters, Annie Daniel and RubyDaniel Wood, both of Brookhaven, Dessie Mayfield of Baton Rouge andLaura Williams of Jackson; her sisters, Altee Linson of Vicksburg,Esther Vanpelt of Marianna, Ark., Joteal Myles of Denver, Colo.,and Maggie Humphrey of Gary, Ind.; and 18 grandchildren and fourgreat-grandchildren.
Ethel McMurray Dykes
Services for Ethel McMurray Dykes of Orlando, Fla., are 10 a.m.,Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Hartman Funeral Home with burial in SilverCreek Cemetery in Magnolia.
Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dykes, 87, died Oct. 7, 2000, of heart failure at VitasHospice.
She was a retired tax assessor. She was a former school teacher.She was listed in Who’s Who in American Women. She was a member ofEast Side Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death was her husband, J. N. Dykes.
Survivors are her daughter, Mary Terrell of Orlando; her son,James Dykes of Brookhaven; her sister, DeLacy Aaron of Baton Rouge;and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Pendilton, 31, died Oct. 7, 2000, in Jackson. He was born inBrookhaven on Sept. 10, 1969, to Albert Pendilton Jr. and BobbyArmstrong Pendilton. He attended Provine High School and was agraduate of Loyd Star High School. He attended Copiah-LincolnCommunity College.
He was the owner of Tin Pan Alley Night Club in Jackson. He wasa member of Little Rock Baptist Church in Wesson.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Albert C.Pendilton Sr., Willie L. Armstrong, and Sarah Armstrong.
Survivors are his wife, Diane M. Sanders Pendilton of Jackson;his father, Albert Pendilton Jr. of Wesson; his mother, BobbyArmstrong Pendilton of Jackson; his daughter, Lucretia Y. Lyons ofWesson; and his sisters, T. Michell Pendilton and NaShekia McNair,both of Jackson.
Aubrey Burnell Thames

Mr. Thames, 78, died Oct. 7, 2000, of heart failure at MaisonOrleans Nursing Home. He was born in Lincoln County on March 13,1922, to David Gus Thames and Florence Brister Thames.
He was a Merchant Marine. He was a member of Pleasant HillBaptist Church. He was a veteran of WWII.

He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Elois Desselle of Arabi,La.
