Services for Fermon Cephus Brown of Marrero, La., were Oct. 9,2000, at Mothe Funeral Home with burial in West Lawn Cemetery inGretna.
Mr. Brown, 73, died Oct. 6, 2000. He was born on Oct. 25, 1926,to Mildred and Elvyn Brown.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and his brother, HervieBrown.
Survivors are his wife, Ruby Brown of Marrero, La.; his son,Gary Michael Brown of Harahan; La.; his daughters, Sandra JeanGuiterrez of Harahan and Rose Brown Jenkins of Bogue Chitto; hisbrother, Billy Wayne Brown of Brookhaven; his sister, Joyce ElaineCade of Wesson; and three grandchildren and a host of nieces andnephews.
Justin Dallis Hickman
Services for Justin Dallis Hickman of Brookhaven are 1 p.m.,Thursday, Oct. 12, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inWoodlawn Cemetery in Columbia.
Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 5-9 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home.
Mr. Hickman, 19, died Oct. 9, 2000, at University Medical Centerin Jackson. He was born in Hinds County on June 17, 1981.
He was a clerk in an attorney’s office. He was a member of FirstBaptist Church.
Preceding him in death was his grandfather, Houston Hickman.
Survivors are his father, James Neel Hickman Sr. of McComb; hismother, Jullia F. Hickman Ivey of Brookhaven; his stepfather, ChuckIvey of Brookhaven; his brother, James Neel Hickman Jr. ofPensacola, Fla.; his grandparents, Maurice and Jeanette Ingram ofColumbia and Evelyn Hickman Golay of Brookhaven; his aunts anduncle, Teresa and Mike Kinsey of Gautier and Joy Harlene Smith ofBrookhaven; and his first cousins, Joe and Consuela Dambrino andJoy Smith Ladd.

The infant was born and died Oct. 8, 2000, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. Her mother, Casey Elizabeth Brownlee McCaffrey,died Oct. 9, 2000, of injuries sustained in an automobileaccident.
Preceding her in death were her great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.George Brownlee and J. P. McAlexander.

She was a teller at State Bank. She was a member of CalvaryBaptist Church.

Services for Verlie Marie Wroten Watts of Brookhaven were 10a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Watts, 88, died Oct. 9, 2000, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 22, 1912, to JamesMonroe Wroten Sr. and Olive Strait Wroten.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Prospect BaptistChurch, where she was a member of the WMU.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and her husband, BurtonWatts.
Survivors are her daughters, Olive Watts Jones of Brookhaven andCynthia Watts Briggs of Jackson; and seven grandchildren and fourgreat-grandchildren.
