Services for Willie Campbell of Meadville are 1 p.m., Saturday,Oct. 14, at New Bethel M.B. Church in Monroe with burial inBurnette/Magee Cemetery in Eddiceton.

Visitation is Friday, Oct. 13, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. with the wakefrom 7-8 p.m. at Tyler Funeral Home.

Mr. Campbell, 77, died Oct. 6, 2000, of heart failure at hisresidence. He was born in Franklin County on Dec. 25, 1922, toOrange Campbell and Selma Woods Campbell.

He was a retired truck driver for Ricky Buckles. He was a memberof New Bethel M.B. Church in Monroe, where he served on the UsherBoard. He was an Army veteran.

Preceding him in death were his parents, five brothers, foursisters, and two grandchildren.

Survivors are his wife, Florine Burnette Campbell of Meadville;his sons, Tommy Campbell of Ontario, Calif., and Glean E. Campbellof Eddiceton; his daughters, Willie Mae Cotton and Clara M. Davis,both of Southbend, Ind., Sara D. Robertson of Smithdale, MattieJune Smith, Billy Kelly and Rosie Lean Campbell, all of Brookhaven,and Selma Treadway of McCall Creek; and 15 grandchildren, 20great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Minnie M. Gibson

Services for Minnie M. Gibson of Monticello were 11 a.m.,Friday, Oct. 13, at Wanilla Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.

Mrs. Gibson, 81, died Oct. 11, 2000, of respiratory arrest atLawrence County Nursing Center. She was born in Copiah County onNov. 23, 1918, to A. R. and Maggie Leggett Kennedy.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Wanilla Baptist Church.She was a former member of Wanilla Homemakers Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and her husband, R. D.Gibson.

Survivors are her stepsons, Alcus Gibson of Ferriday, La., andRobert E. Gibson of Port Gibson; her daughter, Maggie Lena Lea ofMonticello; her sister, Gertie Scott of Terry; and threegrandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren, andtwo stepgreat-grandchildren.

Dorothy Hudson

Services for Dorothy Hudson of Brookhaven are 1:30 p.m., Sunday,Oct. 15, at Friendship M.B. Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is Saturday, Oct. 14, from noon until 6 p.m. withfamily hour from 6-7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mrs. Hudson, 57, died Oct. 11, 2000, at Central MississippiMedical Center in Jackson. She was born in Brookhaven on Nov. 30,1942, to Brady Allen and Annie Lee Collins. She was a 1962 graduateof Eva Harris High School and a 1976 graduate of Copiah-LincolnCommunity College.

She was employed as a licensed practical nurse for 17 years,working at King’s Daughters Medical Center and Lawrence CountyHospital. She was a member of Friendship M.B. Church, where she wassuperintendent of Sunday school, a member of the Mother’s Board andthe Missionary Society, and had served as church secretary.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Harold Hudson of Brookhaven; hersons, Samuel Hudson of Tyler, Texas, and Louis Hudson ofBrookhaven; her daughters, Vanessa Thomas and Valarie Hudson, bothof Brookhaven; her brothers, Leroy Allen and Brady Allen, both ofBrookhaven, and Herbert Brown of Sontag; her sister, VangenelaJohnson of Springfield, Mass.; and four grandchildren.
