Dexter runs all over Bogue Chitto

DEXTER – Bogue Chitto’s quest for the Division 7-1A title wasderailed Friday night when the explosive Dexter Bulldogs handed theBobcats a tough 33-6 setback.

Powering Dexter with 26 carries for 217 yards was DerrickMcGowan. Omar Magee rushed for 122 yards. Rodney Cotton ran fivetimes for 54 yards.
Dexter jumped out to a 20-0 lead by the end of the first quarteron a two-yard run by McGowan followed by 18 and 67-yard runs byMagee. Bogue Chitto scored six points in the second quarter to cutthe deficit to 20-6 at halftime.
In third-quarter play, the Bulldogs added another 13 points tohold on for the 33-6 victory. McGowan scored one TD on a 10-yardrun and the other touchdown came on a 27-yard pass-play.
Dexter had 14 first downs and 458 total yards on offense.
Bogue Chitto (4-5, 2-1) is at West Lincoln (2-6, 0-4) Thursdaynight.
Dexter (6-3, 2-0) entertains Enterprise (6-2, 2-1) Friday nightin a key division game. Dexter has another division remaining gamewith Salem on Nov. 3.
