Services for John Griffin of Morton were 10 a.m., Monday, Oct.30, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home with burial in Mount OliveCemetery.

Mr. Griffin, 63, died Oct. 28, 2000, of heart failure at hisresidence. He was a native of Scott County and longtime resident ofCanton.

He was a salesman.

Survivors are his daughters, Theresa Kendrick of Pearl, JanieDeer of Meadville, and Norma Owens of Morton; his brother, JamesMartin of Pelahatchie; his sister, Annie Hall of Jackson; and sixgrandchildren.

Lucille Delaughter Watson

Services for Lucille Delaughter Watson of Brookhaven were 2p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Easthaven Cemetery.

Mrs. Watson, 85, died Oct. 27, 2000, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 12, 1915, to thelate John Aaron Blackwell and Nora Estelle Berry Blackwell.

She was a homemaker. She attended Bethel Temple PentecostalChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, ErnestDelaughter and Gilford Watson; her son, Charles Delaughter; hergranddaughter, Anita Davis Clark; her great-granddaughter, BreannaHolmes; and her brothers, Dudley Blackwell and CliftonBlackwell.

Survivors are her son, William Michael Delaughter of Brookhaven;her daughters, Ernestine Conn of Brookhaven, Faye Holmes of Pearl,and Sue Berry Acy and Wanda Hewitt, both of Brookhaven; herbrothers, Grady Blackwell of Brookhaven, Lynwood Blackwell of BatonRouge, and Felix Blackwell of Prairieville, La.; sisters, IreneJordan of Brookhaven, and Christine Walls, Annie Ruth Fryer, BillieGeorge, and Frances Adams, all of Baton Rouge; and 20 grandchildrenand 30 great-grandchildren.
