Governor to address chamber

Gov. Ronnie Musgrove will help community leaders and guestscelebrate a year of accomplishments during the Brookhaven-LincolnCounty Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Banquet.

Musgrove is the featured speaker for the 68th Annual Chamber ofCommerce Banquet on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. at the Multi-UseFacility on Industrial Park Road.

“Gov. Musgrove has always been a strong supporter of theMississippi School of the Arts and has helped with various othereconomic development projects for our area,” said Chandler Russ,chamber of commerce executive vice-president.

Russ said he is looking forward to hearing Musgrove and hisgoals for the years ahead.

As usual, a large crowd of 400 to 500 chamber members andsupporters is expected for the annual event, Russ said.

During the banquet, United Way of Lincoln County officials areexpected to announce their annual fund-raising total. This year’sgoal is $183,600.

Tickets for the banquet are $16 for chamber members and $25 fornon-members. Tickets are available from the chamber and thereservation deadline is Nov. 10.
