A 6-year-old boy was killed when the vehicle in which he wastraveling hit a water spot and hydroplaned on Interstate 20 nearBrandon.

The accident happened about 8:52 p.m. Wednesday, said Sgt. JeffRobertson of the Brandon Police Department.

While Robertson declined to release additional details, the boyhas been identified as Jansen Wright of Brookhaven, son of Jimmyand Julie Wright.

The boy was traveling with his parents, who were moving fromBrookhaven to Georgia, said Robertson. His father is employed byWal-Mart, and had recently been transferred.

The boy was the grandson of Sonny and Linda Beeson ofBrookhaven.

Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for theyoungster.

No information was available about injuries to other familymembers.
