Graveside services for Ammie Wilkinson Allred of Smithdale are10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Allred, 83, died Nov. 25, 2000, at her daughter’s residencein McComb. She was born in Franklin County on Sept. 10, 1917, toBud Wilkinson and Lillie Dillon Wilkinson.

She was retired from Kellwood Company.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, MearlAllred; her brothers, Earl and Roy Wilkinson; her grandson, AnthonyAllred; and three stepsisters and one stepbrother.

Survivors are her sons, Glenn Allred of Bogue Chitto and WayneHerman Allred of Richton; her daughters, Ouida Madison of McComb,Betty Hill of Magnolia, and Carolyn Moak of Bogue Chitto; herbrothers, Elder Floyd Wilkinson of Smithdale and Emmitt Johnston ofMcComb; her sisters, Nannie Bell Allred of Brookhaven and MildredSasser of Bogue Chitto; and one stepsister, 15 grandchildren, and18 great-grandchildren.

Elder John Claude Conley

Services for Elder John Claude Conley of Meadville were 11 a.m.,Monday, Nov. 27, at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church withburial in the church cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home was in chargeof arrangements.

Elder Conley, 49, died Nov. 25, 2000, of cancer at VeteransMedical Center in Jackson. He was born in Odessa, Texas, on Nov.21, 1951, to Ralph Conley and Wanda Eldora Lincoln.

He was ordained to the ministry in 1978 in Midland, Texas, andwas the pastor of Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church inMeadville since 1991. He also did accounting work, most recentlywith Telspec Engineering of Meadville. He pastored Salida PrimitiveBaptist Church in Salida, Calif., from 1979-1991. He was a Navyveteran.

Preceding him in death were his father and one nephew.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, DebbieChappell Conley; his sons, Philip Conley of Mississippi StateUniversity and James Conley of the U. S. Air Force Academy; hisdaughter, Sarah Conley of Meadville; his brother, Tony Conley ofCarlsbad, N.M.; his sister, Cathy Conley of Temple, Texas; and ahost of nieces and nephews.

E. L. Jennings

Services for E. L. Jennings of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Monday,Nov. 27, at Harmony Baptist Church in Ethel in Attala County withburial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in chargeof arrangements.

Mr. Jennings, 68, died Nov. 26, 2000, at St. Dominic’s Hospital.He was born in McCool on Aug. 21, 1932, to Dolphus Lemeul Jenningsand Mary Fowler Jennings.

He was retired from Mississippi Forestry Service as a radiotechnician. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He was amember of the Moose Lodge.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his first wife,Margie Jennings.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Jennings of Brookhaven; his sons,Doyle Jennings and Timothy Jennings, both of Brookhaven; hisbrother, Julian Jennings of Ethel; his sister, Lula Belle Granthamof Kosciusko; and two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Pauline Ethel McCullom

Services for Pauline Ethel McCullom of Brookhaven are 2:30 p.m.,Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Center Street Church of Christ with burialin Carver Heights Cemetery.

Mrs. McCullom, 91, died Nov. 20, 2000, in Kansas City, Mo. Shewas born in Columbia on Nov. 8, 1909, to Paul Stephens andSharlotte Stephens.

She was a homemaker. She was the oldest member of Center StreetChurch of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JohnMcCullom Sr.; and her sons, J. D. McCullom, Paul McCullom, VersieMcCullom, and Glen McCullom.

Survivors are her sons, John McCullom Jr. of Leland, MinisterCurtis McCullom of Perris, Calif., and George McCullom of Raymore,Mo.; her daughters, Claudia Fell of Kansas City, Mo., Edith Smrattof Sacramento, Calif., Kathy McCullom of Pamona, Calif., and SandraBrown of Brookhaven; her sisters, Dorothy Robinson of Portsmouth,Va., and Ruby Spillers of Biloxi; and 55 grandchildren and 25great-grandchildren.

James M. Priest

Mr. Priest, 81, died Nov. 26, 2000, at Franklin MemorialHospital. He was born in Franklin County on July 17, 1919, to AllenEverett Priest and Rethel Emfinger Priest.

He was a retired logger. He was a member of Bude Baptist Church.He was an Army veteran of WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart. Hewas a member of the American Legion.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Woodrowand Charles; his sister, Pauline Bedford; and his son, James AllenPriest.

Survivors are his wife, Irene Ezell Priest of Bude; his sons,Jimmy Priest of Bude and Jackie Priest of Meadville; his brother,J. W. Priest of McCall Creek; and four grandchildren, four niecesand one nephew.

Stella West Reeves

Mrs. Reeves, 89, died Nov. 23, 2000, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Clay County, Ind., on Dec. 25, 1910, toEugene West and Portie Williams West.

She was a homemaker. She moved to Mississippi with Stahl UrbanCompany, where she began work in 1936. She was a member of FirstUnited Methodist Church, where she was secretary of the children’sdivision of Sunday school for over 30 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, J.P.Reeves.

Survivors are her son, James Keith Reeves of Brookhaven; and hercousins, Julia Jean Margruder of Stannton, Ind., and Cyryl RayKirchner of New Jersey.

Mr. Selman, 77, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, of heart failureat Lawrence County Hospital. He was born on March 19, 1923, to thelate William Ernest and Belle Ashley Selman.

He was a farmer. He was a member of Monticello Baptist Church.He was a member of the Cattlemen’s Association. He was a veteran ofthe U.S. Navy and served during WWII.

Preceding him in death was his grandson, Justin Smith; brothers,Howard and Charles Selman; and sisters, Vera Mae Buckley and LolaSelman.

She was retired from Stahl-Urban Co. where she began work in1936. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where shewas a Sunday School teacher for over 30 years.

He was a former medical technician with the U.S. Air Force,where he served as a master sergeant, and had worked at McLainBarnes. He was a member of Tilton United Methodist Church. He was aMason. He was a member of the V.F.W. and was a lifetime member ofthe D.A.V.

Preceding him in death was his son, Jerry Robbins.

Survivors are his wife, Joyce Givens Robbins of Monticello; son,Chuck D. Robbins of Port Orchard, Wash.; daughters, Janet White andLinda Neal of Monticello and Ramona Boyd of Jayess; sister, RobbieCarney of Jayess; eight grandchildren; and twogreat-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Poplar Hill AME Church.She was a member of the Poplar Hill AME Society.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Roosevelt Williams, andher sisters, Lula Washington and Rosie Sharkey.
