George G. Calcote
Services for George G. Calcote of Brookhaven are 1 p.m.,Thursday, Dec. 7, at Damascus M. B. Church with burial in Rose HillChurch Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday, Dec. 6, from noon until 6 p.m. withfamily hour from 6-7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.
Mr. Calcote, 95, died Dec. 4, 2000, at his residence. He wasborn in Lincoln County on Dec. 7, 1904, to Willis R. Calcote andMary Cook Calcote.
He was retired. He was a member of Damascus M. B. Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, SidneyCalcote, Don Calcote, Emanuel Calcote, John Calcote, Wiley Calcote,and Robert Calcote; and his sisters, Nettie McCullom, TennieFerdinand, and Mary Wilcher.
Survivors are his brothers, the Rev. Richard Calcote ofBrookhaven and Arthur Calcote of Greenwood; and many nieces andnephews.
Mary Grace Calcote
Services for Mary Grace Calcote of Summit are 11 a.m., Thursday,Dec. 7, at Adams United Methodist Church with burial in AuburnCemetery.
Visitation is Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. HartmanFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Calcote, 85, died Dec. 4, 2000, at McComb Extended Care.She was born in Conroe, Texas, on Feb. 8, 1915, to W. Edgar Kingand Mattie Thompson King.
She was retired as proprietor of Calcote Grocery in Summit. Shewas a member of Summit United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, B. W.Calcote Sr.
Survivors are her sons, Bart Calcote Jr. of Abilene, Texas,James Calcote of Gig Harbor, Wash., and William Calcote of Waco,Texas; her brother, W. E. King Jr. of LaPort, Texas; and fivegrandchildren.
Ruby Adams Jones
Services for Ruby Adams Jones of Meadville are 2 p.m., Thursday,Dec. 7, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in ProvidenceBaptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at FranklinFuneral Home.
Mrs. Jones, 98, died Dec. 5, 2000, at Meadville Nursing Home.She was born on Oct. 6, 1902.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Martin Jones.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Willie Fay Panzica
Graveside services for Willie Fay Panzica of Brookhaven are 2p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Easthaven Cemetery. Harrigill FuneralHome is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Panzica, 83, died Dec. 4, 2000, of heart failure at King’sDaughters Medical Center. She was born in Ruth on May 29, 1917, toWilliam S. Roberts and Jessie Lea Clark Roberts.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of First BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, JohnnyPeter Panzica.
Survivors are her son, Johnny Ranee Panzica of Brookhaven; herbrother, Floyd Clark Roberts of LaPlace, La.; and her sisters,Pauline Holmes of McComb and Merle Quinn of Portsmouth, Va.

Services for Ruby Lee Thornhill of Brookhaven are 3 p.m.,Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inFair River Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation today is untilservice time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thornhill, 86, died Dec. 4, 2000, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Lawrence County on Jan. 15, 1914,to Leon Johnson and Minnie Keen Johnson Newsome.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Fair River BaptistChurch. She was a member of the William Oliver Chapter No. 176,Order of the Eastern Star in Wesson.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, OscarThornhill; her foster parents, Jim Prine and Ellie Waldrop Prine;and infant twins.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, David E. and JaniceThornhill of Brookhaven; her daughters, Ann Lee, Minnie Sue Lea,and Catherine Case Stricklin, all of Brookhaven, and Juanita Goffand Faye Lemaitre, both of Pascagoula; 20 half-brothers and sisterson the Johnson family side and nine half-brothers and sisters onthe Newsome family side; and 21 grandchildren, numerousgreat-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces andnephews.
Pallbearers will be Hurston Lea, Mike Thornhill, KennethThornhill, Jerry Hamilton, Eugene Hamilton, and Billy Delaughter.Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Delaughter, James Hamilton,Jericho Hamilton, Danny Lofton, Chris Lofton, and Billy Lea.
