Dexter Bulldogs ambush Enterprise Yellow Jackets

DEXTER – The Dexter boys and girls flexed their basketballmuscles Tuesday night, sweeping Enterprise in a Division 7-1Avarsity doubleheader. The Bulldogs whipped the Yellow Jackets 67-28and the Lady Bulldogs posted a 45-39 triumph.

Enterprise resumes play Friday night, hosting West Lincoln forfour games, starting with a junior high contest at 4.

The Lady Jackets (6-2, 3-2) were led in rebounding by LaceyPalomarez with 13 rebounds plus 17 points and 5 steals. MonicaLeggett had 5 boards. Roberta Johnson had 11 points, 3 blockedshots and 4 assists. Joyce Allen made 3 assists and 4 steals.

“Dexter is real athletic and quick,” said Enterprise coach BillyVaughn. “We played fair.”

The Jackets (4-3, 3-2) got 14 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blockedshots from Shermaine Vaughn. Kerry Brown made 3 assists.

Dexter led 36-21 at halftime.

In the JV boys game, Terry Vining’s 15 points led Enterprise toa 36-22 victory.
