Nancy McGuffee Coin

Mrs. Coin, 68, died Dec. 12, 2000, at St. Dominic’s Hospital inJackson. She was born in Monticello on Nov. 16, 1932, to FordEdward McGuffee and Edna Conn McGuffee Polk.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Monticello UnitedMethodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Herman F.”Jake” Coin; and her stepfather, Cecil E. Polk.

Survivors are her son, Herman F. Coin of Monticello; herdaughters, Mary E. Coin and Lisa Renee Coin, both of Monticello,and Jenny Coin Lowry of Jackson; her brothers, Ford E. McGuffee Jr.of Lake Charles, La., James C. McGuffee of Hattiesburg, and John P.McGuffee of Lafayette, La.; her sisters, Marilyn Bethune of Newtonand Virginia McGuffee of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; and one grandson,Jake Lowry of Jackson.

Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.

Evelyn Smith McManus

Services for Evelyn Smith McManus of Brookhaven were 11 a.m.,Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Damascus Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Mrs. McManus, 79, died Dec. 11, 2000, at Whispering Pines inRidgeland. She was born in Lucien on July 24, 1921, to Louis W.Smith and Luna Smith Smith.

She was retired as owner of Mac’s Restaurant in Bude. She was amember of Damascus Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, H. E.McManus; and her brother, Larry D. Smith.

Survivors are her nieces and nephews, Madaline S. Lee of PortGibson, Camellia Nettles of Brookhaven, and Larry L. Smith ofJackson.

Shirley Camelia Borne Terrebonne

Services for Shirley Camelia Borne Terrebonne of Wesson were 11a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Stringer Chapel in Hazlehurst withburial in Zion Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Terrebonne, 67, died Dec. 11, 2000, of heart failure at herresidence.

She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death was her stepson, Warren J. TerrebonneJr.

Survivors are her husband, Warren J. Terrebonne of Wesson; hersons, Howard Terrebonne of Crystal Springs, and Warren A.Terrebonne and Tracy Terrebonne, both of Wesson; her stepson, KirbyTerrebonne of Harvey, La.; her stepdaughter, Amelia Billiot ofRaceland, La.; her brothers, Jimmy Borne, Donald Borne, and JerraldBorne, all of New Orleans; her sisters, Nellie Vinsent of Merria,La., and Jeneve, Dorothy, and Silvia; and two grandchildren, sevenstepgrandchildren, and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren.
