Services for Mary Maude Bridges of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Thursday, Dec. 28, at Pearlhaven Baptist Church with burial inMission Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bridges, 82, died Dec. 26, 2000, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on Nov. 23, 1918, to Charlie Mullins and AdaCampbell Mullins.

She was retired from Stahl-Urban. She was a member of PearlhavenBaptist Church. She was a member of Brookhaven Order of EasternStar, Daughters of the Nile of Wahabi Temple.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Berry Bridges of Brookhaven; hersons, Charlie Bridges and John Bridges, both of Brookhaven; herdaughters, Betty Ruth Womack of Jayess and Barbara Hux ofBrookhaven; and 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Hugh Durr

Services for Hugh Durr of Kentwood, La., are 2 p.m., Friday,Dec. 29, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New HopeUnited Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at thefuneral home.

Mr. Durr, 84, died Dec. 24, 2000, in a fire at his residence. Hewas born in Brookhaven on Aug. 11, 1916, to Louis Durr Jr. andMinnie Smith Durr.

He was a disabled veteran. He was a member of the Baptist faith.He was a Marine Corps veteran of WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother, MorrisC. Durr Sr.

Survivors are his sister, Edwina Wilde of Alabama; and a host ofnieces and nephews.

John C. Durr

Services for John C. Durr of Kentwood, La., are 2 p.m., Friday,Dec. 29, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New HopeMethodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at thefuneral home.

Mr. Durr, 36, died Dec. 24, 2000, in a fire at his residence. Hewas born in Metairie, La., on July 2, 1964, to Morris D. Durr Sr.and Rosa Marie Taylor Durr.

He was a self-employed mechanic, medically retired.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Ailine Durr of Kentwood, La.; his son,Johnathan Durr of Kentwood; his brothers, Louis H. Durr of Slidell,La., and Morris C. Durr Jr. of Avondale, La.; and his sisters, GailJane’ of Sun, La., and Glenda Clune of West Bloomfield, Mich.

William Clayton Ratcliff

Graveside services for William Clayton Ratcliff of Brookhavenare 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 29, at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The infant was born and died Dec. 27, 2000, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center.

Survivors are his parents, Todd William Ratcliff and ShelinaDianne King Ratcliff of Brookhaven; his brother, Damion BlakeRatcliff of Brookhaven; his grandparents, Homer and Shelia King andRandy and Addie Ratcliff, all of Brookhaven; hisgreat-grandparents, Earl and Lovida Clyburn of Bogue Chitto, andColumbus and Ann Goza and Idelia B. King, all of Brookhaven; andhis great-great-grandmother, Martha Ann Fuller of Jayess.

Martha C. Smith

Services for Martha C. Smith of Hattiesburg are 1:30 p.m.,Saturday, Dec. 30, at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg with burialin Soule’s Chapel Cemetery in Jones County.

Visitation is Friday, Dec. 29, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Smith, 86, died Dec. 27, 2000, at Conva-Rest Warren Hall.She was born in Jones County.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Gillis Chapel MethodistChurch.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Otha Smith.

Survivors are her daughters, Ida Belle “Belle” Loveless ofHattiesburg and Estelle Beaver of Bogue Chitto; her son, John “J.W.” Smith of Columbia; her sister, Gladys Sizemore of Petal; herbrother, Junior Crosby of Bay St. Louis; and 14 grandchildren, 19great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
