Howard Lambert

Services for Howard Lambert of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Wednesday,Jan. 3, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pleasant GroveUnited Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation Wednesday is until service time at the funeralhome.

Mr. Lambert, 81, died Jan. 2, 2001, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lawrence County on April 19, 1919, to JoePate and Sarah Ard Lambert.

He was a retired farmer.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Mary D.Lambert; his brothers, Claude, Clyde, Hollis, and Henry Lambert;and his sister, Maggie King.

Survivors are his sons, Jackie Lambert of Jayess and JimmyLambert of Ruth; his daughter, Vickie McCullough of Brookhaven; andnine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Richard E. “Dick” Magee Sr.

Services for Richard E. “Dick” Magee Sr. of Anderson, Texas, are2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 4, at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota withburial in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Anderson.

Visitation is Wednesday, Jan 3, from 3-9 p.m. at Nobles FuneralChapel.

Mr. Magee, 84, died Dec. 26, 2000, in Bryan, Texas. He was bornin Brookhaven. He graduated from Mississippi State University in1940.

He was a retired executive vice president with Wyatt C. Hedrickin Houston. He was a member of the American Legion in Anderson,MENSA, Sons of Confederate Veterans, International Society forPhilosophic Enquiry, and a Mason. He was a Navy veteran of WWII,with the rank of Lieutenant JG.

Preceding him in death were his sisters, Marguerite Magee andKathleen Gorenflow; and his brother, Thomas Edward Magee.

Survivors are his wife, Zelda Magee of Anderson; his sons,Richard E. Magee of Las Cruces, N.M., John William Magee ofStoneham, Texas, Chester Magee of Houston, Texas, and CharlesEdward Magee of Las Vegas; his daughter, Mary Helen “Susie”Townsend of Austin, Texas; his brothers, John L. Magee ofCalifornia and Fred Magee of Catoosa, Okla.; his sisters, Inez Reidof Point Blank, Texas, and Jonnie Clark of Brookhaven; and 11grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
