Leonard Albert Hardy
Services for Leonard Albert Hardy of Jackson are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Lakewood Funeral Home with burial inLakewood South Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 1 p.m.until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Hardy, 52, died Jan. 22, 2001, at Central MississippiMedical Center.
He was the owner of Hardy Sheet Rock & Painting. He was amember of Creston Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors are his sons, Grady Green of Jackson and Tim Gray ofMendenhall; his daughters, Shiela Tran of Mize, Liz Bullard andLavonne Gray of McComb; his sisters, Nathalie Johnston of Crosby,Erma Lee Green of Magee, Vera Spencer of Greenville, Doris Laird ofBogue Chitto, Rita Wilbanks of Jackson and Ruby Dawson of Clinton;his brother, Melvin Hardy of Jackson; and eight grandchildren.
Carl Lee Hunsucker
Services for Carl Lee Hunsucker of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Friendship Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation is today from 5-10 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Homeand Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Hunsucker, 81, died Jan. 22, 2001, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Lincoln County on Nov. 17, 1919, toEbben Hunsucker and Margaret Cushman Hunsucker.
He was retired as director of the Welfare Department. He was amember of Friendship Baptist Church and was a former Sunday schoolteacher. He was an Army veteran of WWII.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his sisters, ElsieShaheen and Ruth Langford.
Survivors are his wife, Allene Hunsucker of Brookhaven; his son,James Earl Hunsucker of Brookhaven; his daughter, Betty Grice ofBrookhaven; his sisters, Muriel Cooper of Brookhaven and HelenSaddler of Yazoo City; his grandchildren, Stacy Grice, MelanieLeist, Misty Holcomb, Nikki Hunsucker, and Ariel Hunsucker, all ofBrookhaven; and his great-grandson, Hunter Grice.
Robert Deral Kendall
Graveside services for Robert Deral Kendall of Brookhaven are 2p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Ashland Cemetery in Cascilla.Garner-Harper Funeral Home in Grenada is in charge ofarrangements.
Mr. Kendall, 53, died Jan. 20, 2001, of heart failure at BaptistHospital in Jackson.
He was employed in oil field well service. He was an avid guitarplayer and mechanic.
Preceding him in death was his daughter, Helen IreneKendall.
Survivors are his wife, Shirley Kendall of Brookhaven; his son,Joel Kendall of Brookhaven; his sisters, Beverly Kendall ofHazlehurst, Cathrine Arnold and Robbie Cross, both of Grenada, andBessie Carpenter of Gore Springs; and his brothers, David Kendallof Hazlehurst, Cecil Kendall of Callhan, Fla., Larry Kendall ofOdessa, Texas, Johnny Kendall of Grenada, and James D. Kendall ofRobert Lee, Texas.
Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society and toBrookhaven Hospice.
