Lady ‘Cats whip St. Joseph

MADISON – The Bogue Chitto Lady Bobcats overcame 6-0 deficit atthe start the game by going on a 40-8 run for a 40-14 lead in thefirst half before bringing home a 58-40 Division 7-1A win over theSt. Joseph Lady Bruins Tuesday night.
In the boys game, St. Joseph held off Bogue Chitto for a 74-69win.
Bogue Chitto 58, St. Joseph 40
The Lady Bobcats (15-6, 7-1) were directed by Randi Moak’s 17points and eight rebounds. Jessica Melton and Marquita Ratcliffnetted 11 points apiece. Melton collected nine rebounds, made 12steals and had six assists. Ratcliff also made 10 steals and hadfive assists.
Rosie Smith paced the Lady Bruins with 17 points.
In the junior varsity game, Bogue Chitto nipped St. Joseph18-17. Stanci Long led the Lady Bobcats with seven points. Smithalso led the JV Lady Bruins with 11 points.
St. Joseph 74, Bogue Chitto 69
In the boys game, Dominique Addison paced Bogue Chitto with 21points and 10 rebounds. Denard Ferguson scored 19 points, collectedseven rebounds and had five assists. Marc Howard finished with 13points.
The Bogue Chitto boys are 4-4 in the division and 7-14overall.
Bogue Chitto visits North Pike Friday for four games, beginningat 4 p.m.
