Jacob Henry Ballard

Services for Jacob Henry Ballard of Monticello are 10 a.m.Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in NewHope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday, Feb. 5, from 5-9 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 6,from 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Ballard, 58, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, of a massive heartattack at Lawrence County Hospital. He was born in Lawrence Countyon April 5, 1942, to Ella Wee Hedgepeth Ballard Rutherford ofMonticello and the late RC Ballard.

He was a member of the highway maintenance crew of theMississippi Department of Transportation. He was a former member ofShady Grove Baptist Church in Ruth and was of the Baptist faith. Hewas a life long resident of Lawrence County.

Preceding him in death were his father, an infant brother andhis grandparents.

Survivors are his spouse and special friend, Judith Lambert ofMonticello; sons, Heath Ballard of Jayess and Toby Ballard of Ruth;daughter, Dana Ballard Letchworth of Jayess; mother; sister, BettySue Smith of Jayess; and four grandchildren.
