Services for Clarence Allen of Brookhaven are 11 a.m., Saturday,Feb. 10, at St. Mark M. B. Church with burial in Carver HeightsCemetery.
Visitation is today from noon until 7:30 p.m. with family hourfrom 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.
Mr. Allen, 54, died Feb. 6, 2001, in Copiah County from injuriessustained in an automobile accident, which also resulted in thedeath of his brother, James Allen. He was born in Copiah County onFeb. 28, 1946, to Marvin Allen and Lena Stewart Allen.
He was disabled.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Mildred Smith Allen of Brookhaven; hisstepsons, Roy Smith of Dallas and Homer Smith of Brookhaven; hisstepdaughter, Linda Smith Lenior of New Orleans; his brothers,Robert Allen of Brookhaven, Ross Allen, Samuel Allen, and ThomasAllen, all of Wesson, and Charles Allen of Springfield, Mass.; andhis sisters, Bertha Allen, Mary Allen, and Helen Allen, all ofBrookhaven, and Precious Allen of Wesson.

Services for James Allen of Wesson are 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb.10, at St. Mark M. B. Church with burial in St. John Cemetery.

Mr. Allen, 51, died Feb. 6, 2001, at University Medical Centerin Jackson of injuries sustained in an automobile accident, whichalso resulted in the death of his brother, Clarence Allen. He wasborn in Copiah County on July 6, 1949, to Marvin Allen and LenaStewart Allen.
He was disabled.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his brothers, Robert Allen of Brookhaven, and RossAllen, Samuel Allen, Thomas Allen, and Charles Allen, all ofWesson; and his sisters, Bertha Allen, Mary Allen, and Helen Allen,all of Brookhaven, and Precious Allen of Wesson.

Services for Maxie Johnson of San Jose, Calif., are 3 p.m.,Saturday, Feb. 10, at Ebenezer A. M. E. Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Mr. Johnson, 62, died Feb. 3, 2001, in San Jose. He was born inBrookhaven on Jan. 12, 1939, to Sylvester Johnson and Mary E.Johnson.
He was employed by Gypsum Drywall Supply Company for over 30years.
Preceding him in death were his father and four siblings.
Survivors are his wife, Marilyn Johnson of San Jose; his mother,Mary E. Johnson of Jackson; his sons, Jermaine Johnson and JosephJohnson, both of San Jose, Ricky Johnson of Salinas, Calif., andTony Johnson of Bakersfield, Calif.; his daughters, Diane Johnsonof San Jose and Debora Johnson of Los Angeles; his brothers, WesleyJohnson of Pace, Fla., and Robert Johnson of San Jose; his sisters,Bernice Johnson and Inez Norwood, both of Brookhaven, Bertha Nelsonof Champaign, Ill., Addie Bacon of Chicago, and Clara Johnson andAnnie Goss, both of Jackson; and five grandchildren and threegreat-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lofton, 73, died Feb. 8, 2001, at Baptist Medical Center inJackson. She was born in Franklin County on April 13, 1927, toPierce Arnold and Gussie Davis Arnold.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Concord BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her father; and her husband, ErnestRussell Lofton.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sons, RogerWayne Lofton of Smithdale, Dan Lofton of Roxie, and Paul Lofton,Bruce Lofton, and Kenneth Lofton, all of McCall Creek; herdaughter, Sandra Huebner of Columbus; her brother, Homer Arnold ofMcComb; her sisters, Loraine Spring of Smithdale and ElenaTillotson of Odessa, Texas; and 11 grandchildren.
