Services for Louise B. Foster of Monticello were 11 a.m.,Thursday, Feb. 15, at Monticello United Methodist Church withburial in Monticello Municipal Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home was incharge of arrangements.

Mrs. Foster, 89, died Feb. 13, 2001, at Marion County Hospital.She was born in Prentiss on Sept. 23, 1911, to Hector Henry andEdna Terrell Brinson. She had lived in Lawrence County for the past70 years.

She was a retired self-employed merchant. She was a member ofMonticello United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, MelvinFoster; and her son, Brinson Foster.

Survivors are her daughter-in-law, Sonia Foster Goode of WestPoint; her grandchildren, Sandi Foster May and Brin Foster, both ofMonticello; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Monticello United Methodist Church orto Lawrence County Habitat for Humanity.

Joseph Garner

Memorial services for Joseph Garner of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Feb. 17, at Kingdom Hall. Williams Mortuary is in chargeof arrangements.

Mr. Garner, 53, died Feb. 12, 2001, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Bakersfield, Calif., on Dec. 16, 1947, toRobert Garner and Eleanor Peoples Lakes.

He was disabled. He was a member of Kingdom Hall, JehovahWitness.

Survivors are his wife, Mazie Garner of Brookhaven; his mother,Eleanor Lakes of Canton; his father, Robert Garner of Bakersfield;his stepdaughter, Donna Cameron of Hattiesburg; his brother,Jamison Lakes of Corcoran, Calif.; and his sisters, RorilynnJackson, Regina Thomas, and Barsolona Lakes, all ofHattiesburg.

R. C. “Robert” Kelly

Services for R. C. “Robert” Kelly of Springfield, Mass., are 11a.m., Friday, Feb. 16, at Tyler Funeral Home Chapel with burial inHillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is today from noon until 5 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Kelly, 69, died Feb. 9, 2001, of cancer in Springfield. Hewas born in Brookhaven on Jan. 17, 1932, to Addie Kelly and VersieKelly.

He was a retired forklift operator at Springfield Sugar inWindsor, Conn. For many years he worked as a waiter at the FederalHill Club of Agawam, Mass. He was a member of Third Baptist Churchin Springfield. He was a member of Prince Hall Masonic Order.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Marie; andhis daughter, Dorothy P. Bates.

Survivors are his wife, Annie P. Kelly of Springfield; his sons,Alfred C. Kelly of Duluth, Ga., and Anthony Kelly of Springfield;his daughters, Suoncire Davis of Springfield and Valerie C. Kellyof Philadelphia, Pa.; his brothers, J. C. Kelly and Robert LeeKelly, both of Massachusetts, Ira Lee Kelly of South Carolina,Tyree Kelly of Texas, and Charles Kelly and Versie Kelly Jr., bothof Mississippi; his sisters, Virgie Mae Clark and Doris Kelly, bothof Mississippi, Delores Johnson of Louisiana, and Geraldine Kellyof Massachusetts; and 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, anda host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Doris Deloris Sutton of Chicago are 11 a.m.,Saturday, Feb. 17, at Williams Mortuary Chapel with burial inSpringfield Church Cemetery.

Family hour is Friday, Feb. 16, from 7-8 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Ms. Sutton, 60, died Feb. 8, 2001, in Chicago. She was born onSept. 6, 1940, to Sam Hughes Sr. and Irma Sutton Richardson.

She was disabled.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her paternalgrandparents; and her custodian grandparents, Lonnie and LulaSutton.

Survivors are her sisters, Irma P. (James) Sheard, Glen Nell(Woodson) Long, and Debra Richardson, all of Chicago; her brothers,Paul (Mary) Richardson and Hillary Richardson Jr., all of Chicago;her stepfather, Hillary Richardson Sr. of Chicago; her specialaunts, Earlene Sutton Scott and Eloise (Leroy) Sutton Bracey, allof Bogue Chitto; and a host of half-sisters and brothers, unclesand aunts, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
