Bo’ Chitto, rips Salem

TYLERTOWN – Brian Wallace doubled and singled twice to power theBogue Chitto Bobcats in a 17-3, 5-inning Division 7-1A win over theSalem Wildcats Tuesday at the Holmes Water Park. Bogue Chitto heldSalem to three hits.

Reliever Scott Wallace (1-1) got the win with four strikeouts,two walks and one hit allowed. Starter Barrett Wallace allowed onehit in one inning.

Jason Holmes was the loser. Cody Nichols worked the final fourinnings and recorded two strikeouts.

Bogue Chitto led 6-3 after the first inning.

Adding support at the plate for the Bobcats with a triple and asingle was Edwards. Catcher Nathan Cutrer and Todd Davis ripped adouble and a single apiece. A pair of singles were hit by LindseyJackson and Ernie Johnston. Tripling was Cody Wallace. BarrettWallace drilled a double. Hitting safely was Josh Leggett.

The Wildcats got a single from Scott Guidry, Nichols andHolmes.

Friday’s scheduled games with Dexter have been canceled due tothe state basketball playoffs. Bogue Chitto (4-2, 1-0) visitsEnterprise on Tuesday, March 6.
