Services for Gussie Arnold of Brookhaven are 11 a.m., Wednesday,Feb. 28, at Hartman Funeral Home Chapel in McComb with burial inMiddleton Creek Cemetery in Meadville.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m.until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Arnold, 100, died Feb. 26, 2001, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Franklin County on Oct. 1, 1900, toRankin Davis and Geneva Bolin Davis.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Gilead BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, PierceArnold; her sons, A. S. and Lenox Arnold; her daughter, VioletLofton; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Spring and MalcolmTillotson; and her great-grandchildren, Vickie Lynn Roberts andReese Lofton.

Survivors are her son, Homer Arnold of McComb; her daughters,Lorrayne Spring of Smithdale and Elena Tillotson of Odessa, Texas;and 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 14great-great-grandchildren.

Juanita W. Brister

Services for Juanita W. Brister of Baton Rouge are 10 a.m.,Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inWellman Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brister, 81, died Feb. 25, 2001, at Baton Rouge GeneralHospital. She was born in Lincoln County on May 30, 1919, to GeorgeWatson and Mattie Maxwell Watson.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Jesse C. Brister of Baton Rouge; herson, Ron Brister of Sterling, Alaska; her daughter, Dorothy Millerof Jackson; and three grandchildren and severalgreat-grandchildren.
