WESSON – The Wesson Cobras won their first-ever golf match inschool history, beating West Lincoln and Bogue Chitto in atriangular Tuesday at the Wolf Hollow Golf Club. Wesson shot a teamscore of 212, followed by Bogue Chitto at 218 and West Lincoln220.

Freshman Leland Hinton of Wesson was match medalist with a2-over-par 38. Other Wesson scores were Josh Turnage at 56 and RyanBaker and John Decker at 59.

Wesson, coached by Rob Channel, resumes play Friday at WolfHollow, facing Loyd Star in a dual match.

Scores from Bogue Chitto included Drew Yawn and Casey McCafferyat 53, Caleb McCaffery 54 and David Hart 57. Cassie Martin shot62.
