Services for Nolan “Sarge” Burris of Monticello are 2 p.m.,Tuesday, March 13, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inPleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Burris, 83, died March 11, 2001, at his residence. He wasborn in Franklin County on Feb. 17, 1918, to William Burris andLillie Burris.
He was retired from the U. S. Air Force, serving over 20 years.He participated in air offensives in Europe, Normandy, NorthernFrance, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe with the 9th AirForce. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.He was a member of Bude Masonic Lodge #0566. He was a lifetimemember of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Monticello Post #4889. He was amember of United Association of Pipe Fitters Local #714.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Bruce Burris;his brothers, Claude, Leon, Hardy and John Burris; and his sister,Lizzie B. Martin.
Survivors are his wife, Delores P. Burris of Monticello; hissons and daughters-in-law, Nolan Dee and Susan Burris of Meridianand Kenny Bee and Linda Burris of St. Francisville, La.; hisgrandsons and their wives, Daryl and April Burris of Monticello,Jesse Burris of St. Francisville, and Mike and Susan Nuckles ofBrookhaven; his granddaughter, Maria Herring, her children ofBrookhaven; and his stepgrandchildren, Mellisa and Steve ofMeridian.
Mary Lou Fuller
Services for Mary Lou Fuller of Pearl are 2 p.m., Wednesday,March 14, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home with burial in LakewoodMemorial Park.
Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fuller, 78, died March 11, 2001, at Rankin Medical Center.She was a native of Silver Creek in Lawrence County and had livedin the Pearl area for 23 years, moving from Jackson.
She was a retired bookkeeper. She was a member of the Baptistfaith.
Survivors are her daughter, Phyllis Rutland of Pearl; hersisters, Bernice Watson of Silver Creek and Rushell Riley of NewHebron; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and severalnieces and nephews.

Robert Dean Grimes
Services for Robert Dean Grimes of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, March 14, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burialin New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Visitation is today beginning at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Grimes, 69, died March 12, 2001, at Lawrence CountyHospital. He was born in Parkin, Ark., on July 11, 1931, to John L.Grimes and Ethel P. Grimes.
He was a consultant and a logger.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Bernice Grimes of Brookhaven; his sons,Bill Grimes of Sandy Hook and Dean Grimes of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Bobbie Nell Bourn of Sandy Hook and Pam Gill ofMonticello; his brothers, Toby Grimes of Monticello and JohnnyGrimes of New Hebron; his sisters, Lillian Grimes of Magnolia andElizabeth Smith of Brookhaven; and his grandchildren, GabrielleGill, Robert Adam Grimes, Kristen Grayson, and Brandy and RandyGrayson, all of Monticello, and Heather, Holly, and BrittaneyGrimes, all of Brookhaven.

Services for Laney King of Silver Creek were 11 a.m., Tuesday,March 13, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Old ArmCemetery.
Mr. King, 79, died March 11, 2001, at Lawrence County Hospital.He was born in Lawrence County on July 14, 1921, to Claude D. andKatie Ballard King.
He was a retired farmer.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, BurniceKing; his sisters, Dottie Wilson and Merle King; and his brother,Lonnie King.

Bill Turpin
Memorial services for Bill Turpin of Conroe, Texas, are 2 p.m.,Saturday, March 17, at Christ the King Church in Conroe.
Mr. Turpin, 68, died March 10, 2001, at Conroe MemorialHospital. He was born and raised in Brookhaven and had lived formany years in Conroe.
He was a retired boilermaker, out of Local 74 in Pasadena,Texas. He attended Big Springs Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Marshall and RosalieTurpin; his brothers, Frank, James Robert, Aubrey, Ralph, Freddie,and Lenard Ray; and his sister, Bonnie Miller.
Survivors are his wife, Ardath; his children and their spouses,William M. and Teresa Turpin, Nancy Kay and Larry Vickery, SarahElizabeth and Tony League, Carl B. and Roxey Turpin; his brother,Harold Wayne Turpin of Conroe; his sister, Ida Bell Westbrook ofBogue Chitto; and six granddaughters, one grandson, onegreat-granddaughter, and many nieces, nephews, family andfriends.
