Services for Ottis M. Carr of Columbia are 2 p.m., Saturday,March 17, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New ZionBaptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 1:30-8 p.m. and Saturday until servicetime at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carr, 85, died March 15, 2001, at Columbia Health andRehabilitation Center. She was born in Sandy Hook on July 12, 1915,to Sam Z. and Dosey Russell Martin. She lived in the New ZionCommunity in Lawrence County till she moved to Columbia in1959.

She was a retired seamstress with Stahl-Urban. She was a memberof Victory F.C.M. Church in Marion County.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband,Leonard Westley Carr.

Survivors are her sons, Henry Shelton Carr and Sam W. Carr, bothof Columbia; her daughter, Geniva McCain of Columbia; her brother,Norman Martin of Monticello; and her sisters, Etta Mae Comeaux andRosa Lee Brown, both of Monticello.

Donis Felder

Mrs. Felder, 94, died March 15, 2001, at Lexington Manor NursingHome. She was born in Gloster on Feb. 6, 1907, to Robert Hammackand Mary Ella Jordan Hammack.

She was a former seamstress for Kellwood Company.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, FrankC. Greer.

Survivors are her sons, Frank Robert Greer Jr. of Ft. Worth,Texas, and James Kenneth Greer of Jackson; her daughter, Alma G.Reeves of Brookhaven; and seven grandchildren, 13great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Fisher, 74, died March 13, 2001, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Clinton, La., on Feb. 20, 1927, to AllenFisher and Rosie Hayes Fisher.

He was a retired truck driver for National Freight. He was amember of New Pine Grove C.O.G.I.C. in Amite County, where heserved as a deacon.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sons, the Rev. SamBell, and another son; his brother, Scott Fisher; and his sister,Naomi Lima.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothea Fisher of Smithdale; his sons,Charles Fisher of Starkville, Rufus Fisher of Kenner, La., VincentA. Fisher of Kansas City, Kan., Ervin G. Fisher of Alexandria, La.,and Chester Chatman and Paul Fisher, both of Baton Rouge; hisdaughters, Patricia Darensburg of New Orleans, Penny Aretha Fisherof Federalsburg, Md., Veronica Honore and Laura Fisher, both ofBaton Rouge; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, andgreat-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Freeman, 94, died March 14, 2001, at Franklin MemorialHospital. He was born in Amite County on Feb. 20, 1907, to WillieFreeman and Lucrecia Arnold Freeman.

He was a retired county worker. He was a member of MiddletonCreek Primitive Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three sons, twobrothers, one sister, two half-brothers, and his wife, DollyRushing Freeman.

Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Emma Sue and SonnyWalsworth of Baton Rouge; and his special friend and caregiver,Barbara Brister.
