Services for Doris Niven Gessler of Vicksburg are 2 p.m.,Saturday, March 24, at Stricklin-King Funeral Home with burial inGlenwood Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from noon until service time at thefuneral home.

Mrs. Gessler, 81, died March 22, 2001, at Trace Haven NursingHome.

She was a retired secretary for Valley Dry Goods. She was amember of Midway Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, William Wallace Nivenand Annie Mae Broadaway; and her husband, Johnson Gessler.

Survivors are her sons, Francis Guy Jr. of Linden, Ala., WallaceGuy of Vicksburg, and J. B. Gessler of Hartwood; her daughters,Ruth Spicer of Monticello and Nancy Carson of Raymond; her sister,Ruby N. Howell of Edwards; and 12 grandchildren, 15great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
