Services for Joshua Dean Thurman of Brookhaven were 11 a.m.,Wednesday, March 28, at Central Baptist Church with burial in NewZion Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrence County. Brookhaven FuneralHome was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Thurman, 12, died March 25, 2001, in McComb. He was born inMcComb on Dec. 9, 1988, to Dean Thurman and Stephanie CoxDickerson.

He was a student at Brookhaven Academy. He was a member ofCentral Baptist Church.

Survivors are his father and stepmother, Dean and Tammy Thurmanof Brookhaven; his mother and stepfather, Stephanie and JerryDickerson of Jayess; his brothers, James Trent Thurman and JacobTanner Thurman, both of Brookhaven; and his grandparents, James andBobbie Thurman, Bobby Cox, Paula Cox, and Charlotte Golmon, all ofMonticello, and Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Jordan Jr. of Brookhaven.
