Services for Dr. Donna Ellen Davis of Laurens, S.C., are 2 p.m.,Thursday, April 5, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inGum Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dr. Davis, 57, died March 31, 2001, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on June 2, 1943, to Brady Davis and AudreyBrown Davis. She earned her Ph.D. degree at the University ofWisconsin.

She was a licensed psychologist who was the chief psychologistat Whitten Center in Clinton for many years before becomingdirector of that institution’s diagnostic and evaluationcenter.

Preceding her in death was her mother.

Survivors are her husband, Jon Wallace of Laurens, S.C.; herfather, Brady “Smokey” Davis of Brookhaven; her brother, Ben Davisof Richton; and her aunts, Hazel Davis and Daisy Pogue, both ofBrookhaven, and Myrtle McGee of Booneville.
